    -  1914 Red Seals are rare period. A quick review of the population report will reveal that there are only a handful examples known for each Friedberg number / district. A deeper inspection will also reveal that there are very few uncirculated examples known for any district.  Case-in-point, the finest known example for this Friedberg number resides in an XF 40 holder.  And this example is rare too for there are only 18 notes available to own (20 known, 2 impounded in museums).  With so few examples available to choose from, it is notes like this that represent good value and fortune to its next owner.
