    Description

    Sixth Plate Ambrotype identified as a Philadelphia Minister, c. 1860. The costume suggests a slightly earlier date. Ex. Jackie Napoleon Wilson Collection and featured in book "Hidden Witness: African American Images from the Dawn of Photography to the Civil War." This Ambrotype of a particularly rare subject has survived in a remarkable state of preservation and is truly a museum piece.
