This is a very rare, antique, Pende Tribal People, ancestor face, tribal talisman pendant which was hand carved and which was collected from the Congo, Africa  decorated with antique European trade beads.These amulets known as Ikhoko are made of bone, wood or seed pods and acted as a talisman for the initiate to reinforce societal morals and values. These are only worn and used by men of the tribe. Great rustic tribally worn condition with slight wear which does include some shallow cracking .
