    Today I am pleased to offer...
    An Unusual Old Oddfellows Fraternal Lodge Meeting Sound Block
    This unique and rare antique was used by the Noble Grand as a gavel striking stone during meetings of the Oddfellows fraternal organization.
    It is made of heavy stone. I believe it is marble. It is engraved with the familiar linked chain with the capital FLT (Friendship, Love and Truth) inside the links. One end is marked N.G. which stands for Noble Grand (Presiding Officer). The other end is marked Number 674. I believe this is the lodge number.
    It shows honest signs of use, attesting to its age. There are expected scratches and some small chips to the stone. The largest chip is below the penny in the photos (penny not included). Overall it is excellent condition.
    It measures about 8 inches wide 4 1/4 inches deep and 2 inches tall. The weight is about 6 pounds, 6 ounces.
    Definitely a unique conversation piece!
