Chinese vintage or antique pewter metal card tray w handle & lavender stone

Description

Estate vintage or antique card tray/dish marked China underneath. The handle appears to have been soldered to the main portion, and we do not know when, but not recently. The scalloped edge dish or tray was probably used for calling cards. It is heavy and we don't know what the metal is but edges look like brass. There is a raised metal leaf and flower design on the handle and the flower is a lavender stone, perhaps jade. The tray or dish has a depiction of mountains, trees, water and birds, possibly etched into the metal. There is wear due to age.8 inches end to end and 4 1/4 at the widest. The handle is quite secure in my view.
