The Empress Bass Compressor transcends typical stompbox designs, supplying you with a control set akin to a high-end studio processor. For starters, this bass effects pedal includes three flexible compression ratios, Attack and Release controls, and a Mix knob. You also get a sidechain send/return, sidechain highpass filter, and a Tone + Colour switch that infuses your tone with ear-grabbing harmonic distortion. Separate gain reduction and input meters are also onboard, complete with bright, multi-color LEDs. This compressor pedal boasts an all-analog signal path and true-bypass switching for transparent processing and zero coloration when you turn it off.
