This is an antique, brass metal, bracelet which was worn and used as currency by African tribal people for trading / buying transactions in Africa. This brass primitive money currency specimen is in good overall antique tribally used condition with slight wear and very heavy patina from being buried. Currency bracelets & anklets served as indications of wealth and were used to store finances, pay for dowries and buy or trade for livestock and goods. This is an amazing example and a perfect piece to add to any advanced African currency collection or for personal adornment.This currency specimen has an outer circumference of 10.10 inches and an inner circumference of 8 inches.The most common forms of traditional money in Africa were made of metal, either forged or cast.
