Genuine Chinese Jadeite Emerald Jade Carved Pendant Netsuke. Designed with a big chayote image, ruyi, flowers, and a bat image. Chayote,
fo shou gua
, is homonymous with the "Buddha's hands," which is powerful to prevent all evil things. Ruyi means "everything goes smooth." Bat is the symbol of blessing.
Very auspicious motif. The carving is simple but unique and exquisite. The craftmanship is very elegant as you can see from the pix. Nice glossy polish. The condition is old but very good. It will be a good gift as well as a cute collection.
