GERMAN THERMOMETER ANTIQUE????

Description

Offered is this German thermometer with a very strange base. It is filled with red fluid and does register temperature. The scale goes from 20 – 30 Farenheit degrees. It says it was Made in Germany and also states Fahrenheit on one side on the paper liner which has the temperatures written on it. The acutal fluid tube has an interesting bend which allows it to go smoothly up the paper scale marker. At the bottom are some sort of grey pellets just above the bulb itself. I know nothing about thermometers, so please ask questions and I will try to answer them to the best of my ability.
