Although advertised as weather tight there is a breather hole under 1 side handle, (for flying pressure changes) You should seal it if you want true water tight.

But Damaged / Salvage Condition
Although new and unused,
these arrived soaking wet from being rained on
for months in government surplus lot. The original cardboard packaging is destroyed.
This was the wettest of the bunch
. The cardboard being wet has produced a little acidic affect and rusted or reacted with the anodization of the latches. They all move and work freely as they should, but look rusty. We are lubricating with WD40 to make sure they stay functional. They may also have a moisture mold on the inside tote webbed handles from moister soaking in thru the vent, they may also light scratch or two from our cleaning and re-boxing but are decent cases.
You will need to give the latches a wire brushing if you want them to look good and with a little bleach clean up they will make decent cases.
Again all latches are functional, just rusty looking
