Lusithand Alma compressor pedal for bass & guitar.
This handmade Alma compressor is based on the legendary Diamond BCP-1, but has been improved by
adding a unique internal voltage doubling circuit that boosts power supplies of 9V to 18V & 12V to 24V
thus increasing the headroom which prevents unwanted clipping & distortion. Also added is a clean
buffered signal to blend with the compressed signal, creating parallel compression.
Compression ratio is fixed at 3:1/4:1 & is determined by the Com & output Volume.
The EQZ is a tilt equalizer which together with the Shift EQZ allows for a gentle & musical tone control.
With the EQZ knob at 12o'clock there is no coloring of the sound but when turned clockwise the higher
frequencies are boosted whilst lower frequencies are attenuated, turning counter clockwise boosts the
lows & attenuates the highs, making for a smooth & balanced frequency response.
The Shift switch allows the tilt center to be shifted between 900Hz & 250Hz.
The overall result is dynamic & punchy , the improvement to your bass sound is immediately audible &
actually makes a difference, unlike other compressors. This is not just your ordinary compressor.
