    Description

Here is an early 80's MXR Sustain pedal, which is a compressor pedal, similar to the Dyna-comp. This is part of the Commande series MXR had in the early 80's, an attempt to provide lower cost pedals to their product line.
There's no way around addressing the fact that this entire series is built almost entirely of plastic, and does not feel very sturdy or tour ready. The jacks, switches, knobs, all feel a bit delicate. The battery door is a bit comical, and looks like it could be ripped clean off the bottom of the pedal with a little elbow grease.
Besides these construction issues, this is not a bad compressor pedal. It is a little noisy, but I did tend to like this pedal when I was looking for a snappy spanky type tone from a Fender guitar. While I wouldn't use this pedal as an 'always on' compressor, it definitely has it's place, and is a great addition to a setup where you need the mojo this pedal provides.
This example has been well used, and shows wear to the plastic enclosure. Everything does work on this pedal, the pots and switches have been cleaned, work without issue, and it powers up and works just fine.
Sale is for the pedal only. I don't have the box or manual for this unit.
