I just checked the board -

- and the only comparable item to this is priced at 9
- a hundred fifty bucks more.
There is another item for 9 but it only has the starter, bracket, and flywheel -
that comes up a bit short for most applications as you're left without a pair of switches with a combined price of over 0 and a battery charge coil that lists for 5, not to mention the rectifier and battery cables, so you're giving up an awful lot for an illusory 0 "savings."
Here is one-stop shopping for everything you need to electrify your 1977 thru early 90's
"low-profile" 13 cubic inch
9.9 or 15 hp JohnnyRude outboard.  You get MORE parts, for LESS money, than any similar listing on the board, AND this is the Price Leader to boot!  Note part number shown is just for the NLA electric-start flywheel for which last list price was a whopping 9.15!
Note you'll see a couple of 'electric start' flywheels for 9.9/15 on the board now and then BUT if they're real cheap odds are they ONLY fit very old 1974, '75, and '76 models which had a "points" ignition system called "low tension magneto" not CD [capacitor discharge] aka "powerpack."
You get the starter motor, the special intake port cover which serves as the starter mount, the under-cowl wiring, the start-in-neutral switch and the bracket for it, the battery cables, and the all-important
flywheel with ring gear
that is especially tough to find.
In addition,
I'm including the battery charging stator and the rectifier
- aka voltage regulator and the wiring terminal block; this tops up the battery between starts and will satisfy low-amperage accessories like running lights, depth finder, VHF radio, etc.
If you need to have remote starting on your trolling kicker or sailboat auxiliary, or just don't feel like firing up a cold 2-stroke motor with a recoil starter, here's your solution. It takes some mechanical aptitude to install this but it's not
"rocket surgery!"
