    I dare you to find a finer Ruby Ambrotype of a man and his best friend than in this superb example. Their likeness is contained in a beautiful and mint condition thermoplastic case. The gentleman's eyes are mesmerizing and his beard is tour de force in both growth and grooming. His faithful young companion was so well behaved on this fine day as he sat perfectly still to allow this operator the chance to freeze them both perfectly for approximately the last 160 years. The sixth plate Ruby glass Ambrotype contains outstanding contrast, tonal range and beautiful sharpness on both subjects. The equally gorgeous chocolate brown case is in mint condition and holds this wonderful portrait beautifully. The case has tight hinges, the working latch and a lovely maroon velvet plush adjacent to their likeness. I am sure you will enjoy this image for many years ahead.
