Supertech SR20VE SR20VET - Inconel Exhaust Valve +2mm Set NEVI-1007-VE-8 For Nissan SR20VE. Production of Supertech valves begins with a one piece forging, where the head of the valve is forged under a slow two step process to keep a good material grain flow. The forging is then CNC machined in several steps to ensure the precision of the final dimensions. Supertech then do another heat treatment for stress relieving followed by a nitride hardening treatment. Lastly, final grinding followed by their patented Superfinishing of the surface to ensure that each valve is free of any imperfections and the dimensions are precise. Supertech applies more than 30 years of experience in the development of each and every racing valve sold. Experience combined with state of the art equipment such as ultrasonic test, x-rays, laser measurement equipment, and applications like computerized finite element analysis.
The nickel base alloy material is used for exhaust valves in engines that reach very high temperatures and its use is growing with the application of turbos and superchargers. Supertech now offers Inconel valves, hollow and filled with sodium. This will ensure cooling of the valve by removing heat from the head of the valve to the stem. This provides better temperature distribution and lowers head temperature.
