Description
This antique ninth plate (2" x 2 1/2") ambrotype is in very good condition with no wear to the image. The black & white photo of the man is clear and in focus (the man's lips & checks are lightly tinted pink...see photo #2). The 2 1/2" wide x 3" long case is intact and in good condition, but it does have a few small chips on the edges (I've circled them on the last two photos...zoom or enlarge any of the photos for a closer look). The case snaps shut as it should. The label inside the case reads: GENUINE UNION CASE, IMPROVED ---- Fine Gilt and Burnished Hinge ---- S. PECK'S PATENT Oct. 3d, 1854 -- H. HALVERSON'S PATENT Aug. 7th, 1855 Assigned to S. Peck.USPS boxed 1st class shipping will be .00 in the U.S.
