    Description

    Antique ammmmazing silver hair temple ornament from the Ain Akka tribe in Guelmim region of Morocco.  These are usually worn on either side of the temple on an embellished head band.  piece of perfumed cloth are inserted into the open work cubical chamber and with the heat of the day, the perfume is released.  This is a gorgeous very large example - Mid 20th C - with amazing patina.  3 3/4" long.  This piece has been suspended on braided leather with a small carved shell for the closure.
